I have never been a public speaker. However, last year
I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in professional
speaking. With my background and life history, I felt
I had a story to tell and I sought to learn how to do
it properly.
I didn't know where. My Internet search on professional
speaking and came across your website. Once there, I read
everything you provided free! Naturally, I was impressed
enough and I ordered almost everything you have created.
For the past 10 months I did nothing but watch your videos,
listen to your tapes and read your material over and over
so I knew it like the back of my hand. I finally decided
to join a Toastmasters group.
This past Friday I gave my very first speech ever. My
Toastmasters 4 - 6 minute 'Ice Breaker' which I titled
'More Than A Misfit,' based on some childhood obstacles
that I overcame. For this speech I used your speech outline,
your 'I - YOU' ratio, and your Hollywood techniques.
When
I finished, I received a standing ovation, had people
in tears, and received evaluations that stated my speech
was better than many speeches they hear at contests.
I

my future career in professional speaking started off
